Antwerp Fixed Gear Summer Festival

Although i didn't qualify for the Rollapaluza and didn't finish the alleycat because of a technical problem with my bike, I had a blast this weekend!

Ofcourse i had my helmetcamera on me, and WAKASTUDIO was so kind to make this AWESOME video, with some of my footage!

Balk/Merckx Pista

Already posted these on the facebook a while ago. But these photo's deserve a place on my blog as well.

This is my new bike. Some specs:

  • Frame: Balk pista frame, which is a Merckx repaint
  • Cranks: Campagnolo pista
  • Chainring: Campagnolo 45t
  • Cog: Surly 17t
  • Stem & Handlebars: Nitto & Nitto B123 CrMo 420
  • Wheels: Silver On One hubs & Silver Mavic Open Sport rims, black spokes, Vittoria Rubino Tyres
  • Seatpost & seat: Dura-ace seatpost & Selle San Marco Rolls

I met a guy (Bootsy) with a simular build bike while photographing. So nice opportunity to get them both on one picture.

Gazelle Tourist Race

Absolutely not my best photos but good enough to show off my current bike build. This is sort of an ongoing project. The bartape for the summer is already arrived and the cranks still need a revision. Maybe i'll buy a real track frame in the future.

This is actually the bike which H-H bikes build. But almost everything is modified already.

Some nice features of the bike:
  • Vintage Campagnolo/Mavic frontwheel
  • Custom made Miche/Mavic rearwheel - Fyxation tire
  • Miche Cogs & Chain
  • BLB bullhorn handle bars (soon with Cinelli x Mash bartape)
  • Charge x Surface Spoon seat

HH bikes Leica edition

Unfortunately Heirman & v.d. Hout bikes (sort of) stopped. I still had
a couple of photo's of the store i like to share.

If you still like to buy a vintage looking fixed gear bike you can ask
them to build one though. You can still email them for a request. This
is their website: http://h-hbikes.nl/.
